06/22/2019 - Omaha National World Series - Session 2 (Ages 14-18) Rennick is a RHP/3B prospect who continued to showcase his skills during the Omaha National World Series. On the mound, Rennick gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a clean arm and stays inline towards the plate. Rennick shows a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 80mph with cutting action. Breaking ball sits from 65-67mph with 10-4 break. Splitter sits from 71-72mph with good downward action. Extending through his release more can help Rennick improve as a pitcher. In the field, Rennick makes the routine plats and makes a two-handed exchange. His arm fits his position and he makes strong throws through his target. Rennick can improve defensively by getting into a lower fielding position. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an open stance and takes a short stride. He is controlled getting into a small load and takes a level swing. He shows plus barrel control with fast bat speed through the zone, leading to solid contact to all fields. Driving his lower half more can help Rennick improve as a hitter. Overall, Rennick is a solid prospect who has the potential to further progress his skills on the field.
