Official Scouting Report

  • Class Rating
  • 2B/RHPPosition Projection

10/24/2021 - All-In Membership - Highland Park (DFW), TX Reynaldo is a 2B/RHP prospect who will graduate in 2024. Medium frame thick build with strength present and plenty of room to add throughout. At 2B, he works to center the baseball and squares up to throw. Made consistent/on-line throws from a 3/4 arm slot and an arm velocity up to 74mph. On the mound, he gathers over the rubber and has level eyes. He has a simple and repeatable delivery with some deception. He attacks hitters with a FB that sits 67-70mph that is around the zone, a breaking ball with 10/4 shape that he throws for strikes, and a changeup he throws with FB arm speed. At the plate, he hits from a tall and closed stance. A short glide step and activated hands with good lower half turn. He hit balls to the pull side with a bat exit velocity up to 81mph. With 3 years of continued growth and development, we foresee him having a bright future on the baseball field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
