08/19/2018 - Interactive Video Program - Kapolei, HI Ridge is a solid, 2-way player with good skills. At 3B, Ridge has quick feet, agile movements, and soft hands. He fields athletically, has a clean exchange, and throws with a quick release and accuracy to his target. Behind the plate, Ridge has soft hands, he tracks the ball well, and sits in athletically. He blocks well, and gains momentum to throw to 2nd base. Offensively, Ridge is a switch hitter who is currently better from the right side. He has a rhythmic swing, good strength, and fast bat speed with power. From the left side, Ridge has a middle of field approach, he works the ball gap to gap, and gets his lower body through. Ridge can improve overall skills with work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
