12/11/2016 - College PREP - Pensacola, FL Riley is a lean RHP/C who will graduate in 2019. Behind the plate, hands / feet work well together through a clean transfer / exchange in getting rid of the baseball. Pop times show a range of 2.32-2.47 with accuracy on his throws. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Receiving / blocking skills show as quality tools that will play well at the next level as he continues to develop and get more reps. At the plate he shows an athletic setup. Hands are quick (80 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive approach. He has strength in his swing and works to stay inside the ball, utilizing all fields, flashing gap to gap pop. On the mound, he continues to shine. Fastball showed a range of 68-71 mph with sinking action. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with sink. Getting on a long toss program will help to increase arm strength which will aid in his development on the mound. With 3 years to further develop, Riley has abilities with time and room to progress his game.
