12/20/2017 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 1 (Ages 14-18) Riley is a lean OF who has a promising future on the diamond. Foot speed is above average as indicated by his 60 time of 7.19. At the plate is where he shows best as a RHH through a crouched setup. Hands are quick (80 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he loads more and transfers weight more aggressively through his lower half. In the OF, he displays smooth / actions. He utilizes his athletic feet well in tracking down balls through proper routes / angles and utilizes two hands well through the fielding process. He works to get behind balls but needs to play through more with momentum to his target. Range is a plus as he moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground. Mental makeup is outstanding as he has a positive attitude, is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be. With 3 years to further develop. Riley has a lot of potential with time and room to progress his game.
