06/06/2020 - 2020 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's National Texas Riley is an intriguing 3B prospect with a projectable 6’4” frame and a good mix of tools. He is currently switch-hitting, though the right side is clearly his dominant side at this point. The ball comes off his barre hard that way (93 mph exit velocity) from a clean, repeatable stroke. There is carry to balls – especially to the pull side where he hit one ball way out in BP, and he has a confident presence in the box. While he stays inside the ball and finds some barrel from the left side there is not the same late explosion from that side. Defensively Riley is fluid and moves his feet well to get into position to make plays. He has natural infield actions and finishes plays with an accurate arm. There is upside here as it seems as if he is just scratching the surface of his abilities at this point.
