10/17/2015 - 2015 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's Futures South Hamby is a physical presence at 6-foot-6 and 210 pounds, and reached as high as 89 mph with his fastball. He showed the ability to pitch to both sides of the plate with his fastball, and got varying life as well -- it tended to cut when thrown to his glove side, while he got arm side life when throw to his arm side. He spun a rolling breaking ball with three quarters tilt as well, but mainly relied on his fastball. His delivery was balanced and under control, and his arm action worked in sequence with his lower half. The ball came out of his hand well, giving him the potential for added velocity as he fills out his frame and is able to drive down the slope of the mound a little more. Overall, a large framed right-hander with present upper 80s velocity and room to develop both his fastball and secondary stuff as he matures.
