06/05/2022 - All-In Membership - Hoover (Birmingham), AL Bo is a solid, strong OF/RHP who has a promising future on the diamond. In the OF, defensive abilities are well above average as he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are active as he works to get behind balls and plays through with momentum to his target. Glove action is and presents well out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. Throws are accurate with online carry (89 mph velocity) to his target. At the plate, he continues to shine, displaying outstanding hitting abilities with well above average power potential through an open setup. Hands are quick (90 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap to gap pop. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn. On the mound, he works to a controlled balance point, has smooth separation and fires from a clean/loose arm action. FB ranges from 76-81 mph with tailing action. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with slight sink. Stock on the mound will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. With 2 years to further develop, Bo has a lot of potential and will get looks from the collegiate coaches as he continues to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
