09/03/2021 - Baseball Factory's All-Region Tournament (HS) Robert is an OF prospect who showcased his skills during the All-Region Tournament. In the field, Robert uses his plus speed to cover ground and works behind the ball. He plays through well and makes accurate throws to his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a tall stance and gets into a stacked load. He works to barrel up the baseball and produces solid contact. Overall, Robert is a developing prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

05/05/2019 - College PREP - New Orleans, LA Robert is an athletic, 2-way player with plus speed. He was timed at 6.62 in the 60 yard dash. In the OF, Robert has quick feet, agile movements, and he fields in a low/square position. He reads the ball well off the bat, makes plays consistently, and throws with momentum and accuracy from a long arm action to his target. Abilities in the OF can improve if Robert can work on angles and strengthen his arm. At SS, Robert has agile range, firm hands, and he makes plays on balls hit his way. He is a good athlete with a clean exchange and he delivers the ball with consistency from a loose arm action. If Robert can play lower and work on his release, INF skills can get better. At the plate, Robert has a square set-up and stride, good balance, and fast bat speed. He swings aggressively, hits hard to the pull side, and he uses his lower body. Improved timing, a shorter swing path, and improved barrel accuracy will result in better hitting grades.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
