Exclusive College Recruiting Program Robert is a two-way potential player out of the Northeast who has upside to his game and has been a very solid High School and Travel baseball performer during his career. A strong frame at 5’10 195 lbs. there is room to add strength and explosion to his game to take a strong baseball skill set to the next level. As a defender he fits on the corners of the IF as a 3b or 1b with a 84 mph raw arm strength to handle 3b, but soft hands and fundamental footwork to play 1b. Offensively, he uses a compact and simple swing that allows him to generate consistent hard contact peaking in the upper 80 mph range currently with room to add more as he develops more strength. He is a below average runner but his power potential and projection will allow him to impact a lineup and he will increase run times as he develops his athleticism. On the mound he uses a short quick arm action with command of a 3-pitch mix and shows pitch ability to keep hitters from generating hard contact. His frame and arm action project an ability to add velocity and life to all of his pitches making him a potential reliever candidate as a two-way prospect or possible starter with his command/control combination and a focus solely on pitching to add velocity and life to his pitches to work in a rotation.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
