Currently, he does project better as a catcher for the next level. Foot speed is below average and does need to get on a speed agility program to improve foot quickness. Feet do work well through the catch and throw process as well has his blocking skills. Arm strength is near above average and does need to get on a strict long toss program to aid in further developing more arm strength. He shows a clean release with hands and feet with hands and feet working well together. He will control the running game at the next level as indicated by his low pop time of 2.09. Receiving and blocking skills are near above average and show solid potential for the next level. At the plate, Cope has solid average ability with above average power. He sits in well and shows solid balance throughout his swing. Hands are quick and direct to the baseball, generating plus bat speed. He has strength in his swing as the baseball jumps off his bat. He drove a ball of the wall at the event. Robert has abilities with potential to be a solid catcher at the next level.
