12/27/2011 - Pirate City Christmas Camp and Tournament - Session 2
Robert worked out in the middle INF during his time in Pirate City. He showed athletic actions, agile movements, and efficient footwork. He makes plays on balls hit his way, his exchange is clean, and he throws with average strength and consistency across the diamond. Offensively, Robert showed an open set-up, a smooth load, and good balance. He is a contact hitter who puts the bat on the ball and he swings through properly.
09/25/2011 - College PREP - Pittsburgh, PA
Robert is a young, athletic 2nd baseman with average size. In the INF, Robert has good pre-pitch actions, quick feet, and he moves well to the glove side. He fields in a low / athletic position, he works the double play well, and his exchange is quick. Robert has a short / quick arm action, and he throws with accuracy and average strength to his target. Defensive tool grades can improve if Robert can get his glove down sooner, avoid rushing, and add arm strength. At the plate, Robert has a square set-up, a proper load, and a short stride. He has good balance, average bat speed, and he tries to stay on top of the ball. Robert swings in good rhythm, and he gets his lower 1/2 through. Hitting can rise if Robert can shorten his swing, stay on the ball, and quicken his bat speed.
