01/16/2023 - National Showcase - Omaha, NE Robert continues to show as a prospect with improvements in his baseball abilities. At 3B, defensive abilities have improved as he shows smooth / fluid actions. Feet are active as he attacks balls and plays through with his body, gaining ground. Hands are clean and presents out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. Throws are accurate with carry across the diamond. At the plate, hitting power potential has improved through an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He has strength in his swing and shows a feel for the barrel with power showing best to the pull side. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 74-75 mph. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with slight sink. Getting on a long toss program to develop more arm strength will aid in improving stock on the mound.

01/14/2022 - 2022 Baseball Factory Pre-Season Prospects Tournament (MS) Robert is an athletic RHP/3B in the class of 2027 from Omaha, NE. At 3B, he displayed active feet with good range laterally. He made the routine plays and showed off a rocket arm across the diamond. At the plate, he uses a slightly closed stance with a short stride and smooth timing to deliver the barrel through the zone with quick hands. He has a direct bat path which enables him to make hard contact with gap to gap power. On the hill, he attacked the zone with good intent. He worked a 2 pitch mix of fastball (76 mph) and a change up that ranged from 56-58 mph. Robert is an athletic prospect who we believe will continue an upward trajectory in his development.

11/06/2020 - Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition in Arizona Robert continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 71 mph. Fastball showed a range of 70-71 mph with cutting action. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with arm side run. Control is a plus as he attacks hitters and throws strikes with all his pitches. Getting on a long toss program to develop more arm strength will aid in improving abilities on the mound. At 3B, he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls up. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. At the plate, he shows a closed setup. Hands are quick and work through an uphill swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields and has strength in his swing through a line drive approach. At the event, he was 2 for 6 with a 2B and 2 BB. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, and is very coachable.

08/02/2020 - All-In Membership - Council Bluffs (Omaha), IA Robert is a young (2026 grad), R/R 2-way player as a RHP/OF. On the mound, this righty throws a FB and CH from a high 3/4 arm slot. He keeps his eyes on the target, strides square and repeats well. FB ranges from 61-62 mph with slight arm-side run. Changeup ranges from 51-53 mph and will become more effective as he throws it more and works on his release point. Getting more glove-side lead/tuck while finishing with extension will help to improve effectiveness on all pitches. In the OF, he hustles to his right and left to track down fly-balls. He secures the ball with 2-hands and has a clean transfer to throw. Developing his footwork/agility will help to increase range in the OF. With the bat, he shows a tall/closed stance with patience and good zone awareness, tracking the ball into the zone. He takes a hack at pitches he likes, and looks to drive the middle of the field. Getting loaded sooner while engaging his lower 1/2 more will help to increase pop off of the barrel. This 2026 grad has skills with still a ton of time to progress and physically mature (get stronger).

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
