10/07/2018 - College PREP - Parker (Denver), CO Robert is an athletic and talented 2021 2-way prospect. In the OF, Robert is aggressive on ground balls, and creates momentum in his lower half when throwing to the plate. He anticipates the ball off the bat and makes the routine play. At the plate, Robert starts in an athletic stance, creates backside rotation with his lower half, and stays balanced through contact. He's aggressive to the ball and hits the ball hard to the pull side. On the bump, Robert gathers over the rubber, separates on time, and extends thru his delivery. He works north to south and creates slight sink on his fastball. Robert will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

01/15/2016 - Baseball Factory Spring Training in Arizona (Ages 12-14) Robert is a young two way player as an infielder and a RHP. On the mound, he shows good presence, stays in line toward his target and understands the importance of pitching to contact. He challenges hitters and works efficiently. Defensively, in the infield Robert works low to ground balls, makes all the routine plays and has a solid arm that fits his position. Offensively, Robert has a soft square stride, tracks well, and loads very well into his lower half ready to deliver the barrel.

10/04/2015 - Interactive Video Program - Parker (Denver), CO Robert is a young (2020 grad) 2-way player as a 2B/RHP. With the bat, this RHH shows a square setup with good balance. He squares the ball up and drives the ball on a line back up the middle of the field. At 2B - Robert shows active footwork and is aggressive to come and get the ball. He is sure handed, gathers well and has a clean exchange to throw. On the mound, this RHP throws a FB & CB from a high 3/4 arm slot. He gets good glove-side lead and stays directional toward the dish. FB ranges from 58-61 mph while CB has 11/5 shape with early break. Overall abilities in his game will improve with work on the following.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
