08/15/2014 - Interactive Video Program - South Williamsport, PA Robert is a L/L 2-way player as an OF/LHP. In the OF, he takes a quick first step and can cover ground with speed. He plays low through the ground ball and follows his throws well. With the bat, this LHH shows an aggressive approach with balance. Barrel delivery is quick as he has pop to the gaps. On the bump, Robert has a 3-pitch mix coming from a high 3/4 arm slot and fluid arm action. He pounds the zone and throws strikes. He finishes out over his front side with extension. Overall abilities in his game will improve with work on the following.

08/16/2013 - Interactive Video Program - South Williamsport, PA Robert is an outfielder with an easy fluid arm action with accuracy on his throws. He shows an aggressive approach through the ball. Glove work is consistent as he makes the routine plays. Offensively, Hassell shows a rhythmic approach. He shows a solid barrel contact with power showing best to the pull side. Abilities can improve with the following:

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
