07/27/2018 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 (Ages 14-18) Robert is a tall, lean built right-handed pitching prospect. On the mound, Robert has a balanced, on-time delivery and keeps his eyes on his target. He throws from a side arm slot with a loose, clean arm action and extends through his release. Robert has the proper stride length with a controlled landing. He gets good leg drive and rotates with his core as he finishes towards his target. Robert finishes in good fielding position. He has tail and sink movement on his fastball at 79-81 MPH. His slider sweeps with medium break. Offensively, Robert has a square setup with his weight in the back of his stance. He has a load with a long stride as he partially uses his lower half throughout his swing. Robert stays inside the baseball with a short swing path. He is a contact type hitter who looks to put the ball in play. Overall, Robert has a solid approach with a projectable skill set and potential to get even better.

05/20/2018 - College PREP - Gambrills, MD Robert is a tall, lean RHP who has a promising future on the diamond. Delivery is sound/repeatable as he shows good tempo through a strong balance point, allowing his arm action to work quick and free to the plate. Fastball shows a range of 76-83 mph with arm side run. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with late/sharp break and shows potential as being a quality pitch. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with slight sink. Control is solid as he attacks hitters and throws strikes with all his pitches. Robert has upside on the mound with time and room to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "present" abilities (tools), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year, using the scale below. However, grades 10-18 are not available for use with High School players (ages 14-18), while grades 55-70 are not available for use with Pre High School players (ages 12-14). These instances are marked as "--- N/A ---" in the "Description" fields below.
