Official Scouting Report

  • Class Rating
  • OF/RHPPosition Projection

01/14/2022 - 2022 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament (FL) Robert is a 2022 OF/RHP prospect who showcased his skills at the Baseball Factory Pre-Season All America Tournament. In the OF, starts in an athletic position, with a good prep step, and works behind/through the baseball. Good 1st step reads enable him to take aggressive routes to the baseball and flip his hips and run down balls in all directions. Fields with hands out front and has a long arm action. Throws are consistently, with good carry into the infield, and an arm velocity up to 87mph. A right-handed pitcher, he starts with good tempo and has good poise on the mound. He gathers over the rubber and keeps his shoulder in-line to target. Attacks hitters with a FB that sat 86-88mph with some arm side movement and a 12/6 shaped slider with tight spin. During the games, he struck out 9 batters and threw 78% of his pitches for strikes. At the plate, he begins with an upright and square stance. Activates his hands, with good hip rotation, and showed ability to keep his hands inside the ball. Hit hard line drives to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 83mph. In live game action, he reached on a single, 2 walks, and reached on an error. With another year of development, we foresee Robert having opportunities to play at the next level.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
