09/04/2020 - HS All-Region Tournament Robert continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 7.37 runner. At the plate, hitting power potential are now outstanding through an open setup. Hands are strong (85 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap-to-gap pop. At SS, defensive abilities are outstanding as he displays smooth / athletic actions. Feet are aggressive in attacking and playing through balls with his body. Glove action is soft sure and presents well out front. He throws from multiple arm angles with accuracy and on line carry (86 mph exit velocity) on his throws.

01/17/2020 - 2020 Baseball Factory All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament Robert is a talented SS/2B that attended the Rookie Pre-Season All American in Florida. Robert shows advanced actions in the field showing he can play on both sides of 2B. In the field he shows quick and effective footwork taking a +1st step to the ball with agile range. He fields the ball with soft, sure hands making quick exchanges and shows he can deliver strong and accurate throws from multiple arm slots. At the plate, Robert starts in a slightly open stance with loose hands. He gets his foot down on time firing his lower half through and showing strong pop to the pull side. Robert shows great upside and is advanced in the field and at the plate.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
