12/17/2011 - Pirate City Christmas Camp and Tournament - Session 1 Reeder continues to show as a two-way player 3B/RHP and currently showed better at 3B for the next level. Feet are quick / athletic as he works around groundballs as he makes the routine plays. Hands are soft / clean but needs to be presented more out front to improve defensive grades. Throws are accurate as he throws from multiple arm angles but will benefit by getting on a long toss program to build more arm strength. At the plate, Robert is a switch hitter with a solid setup from both sides. He tracks the ball well and shows good pitch selection. He works to keep hands inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a level swing path. He needs to work on maintaining balance and use lower half more to improve hitting / power grades. On the mound, fastball shows a range of 73-76 mph with arm side run. Breaking ball has potential to be a quality out pitch when he stays on top. Stock on the mound will rise quickly as more arm strength is developed.
