01/12/2024 - 2024 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament Rock is a 2025 SS/OF out of Flower Mound, TX who showcased his talents at the BF Pre-Season All-America Tournament. At SS, he starts from an athletic position with quick and fluid actions. He fields out front and has a quick and clean exchange. He throws from a 3/4 arm slot with good carry. Rock showed great athleticism in the infield and had a good feel for the position throwing from multiple arm slots. At the plate, the switch hitter starts from a closed stance and gets square during his stride. He has quick hands from both sides of the plate and has a strong lower ½. During the game, he showed good plate awareness picking up several walks as well as a single. He also showcased a 6.75 60-yd dash and had good instincts on the base paths. With another year to grow and mature we foresee Rock continuing to excel on the baseball field.

12/03/2023 - National Showcase - Highland Park (DFW), TX Rock is a SS/OF who will graduate in 2025. He continues to improve in all facets of his game and should have a bright career at the next level. Ran his 60-yard dash in 6.69 seconds. In the OF he makes it look easy as he runs down balls in all directions. He works behind and through the ball with a high 1-hand catch. His arm strength and accuracy and it jumps out at you. At SS, he shows athletic actions with quick and fluid footwork. He fields from an athletic and low fielding position with hands out front. Shows ability to throw from multiple arm slots with an arm velocity up to 90mph. Rock is a switch-hitter. From the right side he hits from a crouched and open stance. Shows late barrel whip with ability to drive balls to all fields. From the left side he sets up in an athletic and open stance. A lower half driven swing with a fast barrel through the hitting zone. He hit hard line drives into both gaps with a bat exit velocity up to 87mph during his round of BP. With another year of development, Rock should have numerous opportunities to play at the next level.

01/13/2023 - 2023 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament Rock is a 2025 grad out of Flower Mound, TX and continues to show as a top prospect and did so at the BF Pre-Season All-American event. At SS, defensive abilities are outstanding as he displays clean/smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is firm and presents well out front. He utilizes his foot quickness in covering a lot of ground in the MIF. Throws are accurate with carry (87 mph velocity) to his target. At the plate, he shows as a switch hitter with similar abilities and excellent hitting abilities with outstanding power potential from both sides. Hands are quick (85 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He has strength in his swing and shows a feel for the barrel with gap-to-gap pop. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn. Rock has a high skill-set and will get looks from collegiate coaches with his baseball abilities.

05/15/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Highland Park (DFW), TX Rock is a class of 2025 OF/SS. He shows off great athleticism and projects upwards as he continues to grow. In the outfield, he shows the ability to cover ground as well as create angles to the baseball. He does a good job of working downhill and through the baseball with help from his good pre-pitch actions. In the infield, he once again does a good job of keeping his feet active pre-pitch and creates good angles while working towards the baseball. Does a good job of making the routine play and taking care of the baseball on the exchange At the plate, he shows a good approach along with the ability to hit the ball to all parts of the field. Does a good job keeping a quiet head throughout his swing as well as having a simple stance and repeatable stride. Shows good feel for the strike zone and tracks pitches well. Rock is a young player with lots of time to continue his development and we hope to see him again soon.

01/14/2022 - 2022 Baseball Factory Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament Rock is a 2025 SS/OF out of Frisco, TX who continues to shine with his baseball abilities. At SS, he displays fluid/smooth actions. Feet are active as he moves well laterally and utilizes his foot quickness in covering a lot of ground. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. Throws are accurate with carry (82 mph velocity) across the diamond. At the plate, he shows as a switch hitter with similar abilities from both sides. Hands are quick and works through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach with power showing best to the pull side. Lower half works well through the swing and he maintains balance. We look forward to seeing what the future holds for Rock as he enters his freshman baseball season.

07/19/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Highland Park (DFW), TX Rock is a SS/OF prospect who will graduate in 2025. Medium frame athletic build with strength present. Ran his 60-yard dash in 7.18 seconds. In the field, he shows quick/active feet and good 1st steps. He fields from a square fielding position with hands out front. Shows good actions to his back hand side. Consistent throws from a 3/4 arm slot, with a clean transfer, and an arm velocity of 82mph across diamond. Showed a quick exchange on his DP pivots. In the OF, he shows fluid footwork and ability to gain ground. Good 1st step reads enable him to work behind and through the baseball. On-line throws into infield with momentum towards plate. A switch-hitter, he hits from an athletic and square stance from both sides of the plate. From the right side, he has a smooth swing, with a good bat angle at contact, and hit line drives to all fields. From the left side, starts with a small hand load, and a good bat angle at launch position. Rock showed better hit tools from the right side during BP. With 4 more years of growth and development, this 2-way prospect should have opportunities to play at the next level.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
