07/07/2020 - 2020 Baseball Factory's National West Showcase Rodney has plus speed (6.52 in the 60) giving him a center field profile. He glides to balls in the outfield and can close well given his quickness. At the plate Rodney uses a hanging leg kick to gather and stalk pitches. He is most comfortable with balls on the inner half and he likes to turn on pitches and shows some juice to the pull side (94 mph exit velocity). There's a high ceiling here for a middle-of-the-field defender and a LH potential lead-off bat.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
