07/21/2019 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 12-14) Roman is a solid C/RHP that brings high energy. Catching, Roman shows athletic actions presenting a soft and quiet glove tracking the ball in. His secondary stance is square, replacing his feet making quick and clean exchanges getting rid of the ball. His throws are accurate with carry. Blocking he shows on time footwork working to center the ball. At the plate Roman is aggressive to the ball. He has a square stance with a small load getting his foot down on time. He fires his lower half through getting the barrel on plane with fast bat speed. He makes consistent and hard contact showing good hip/hand separation with a line drive approach. On the mound he shows a 3-pitch mix with a FB, CB, and CH. He starts square on the rubber with simple movements. His hands separate on time keeping his stride in line rotating to his target and finishing rotation around his front leg. Roman shows a very solid foundation at a young age and will continue to trend upward with hard work.
