07/24/2016 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1
Rowdy showed at SS and on the mound for the first time at the event. At SS, he displays smooth actions. Feet are aggressive as he attacks balls and squares up well with his body. Hands are clean as he presents on time and out front. He shows off his athletic ability on his feeds of the double play. Hands and feet work well together as he gets rid of the baseball quickly with accuracy on his throws. At the plate, he continues to show as a switch hitter with similar abilities from both sides. Hands are loose and work through an uphill swing path. He works to keep hands inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will continue to improve as he works to utilize his lower half more aggressively. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 61-65 mph. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. Getting on a long toss program to develop more arm strength will aid in improving abilities on the mound. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be. Overall, Rowdy has a lot of potential with time and room to continue to progress his game.

Rowdy continued to show that he has a solid fundamental foundation. Offensively, he showed the ability to compete from both sides of the plate. His loose hand action and path to the ball allow him to be a hitter who uses all fields. His load tends to be late which causes him to rush at times. Rowdy can focus on an earlier load while letting the ball travel. Defensively, he displayed solid overall footwork and routes to the baseball. His hands are sure with the ability to gain ground to his target. Rowdy has a bright future and will show more improvement as he continues to physically mature and increase foot speed.
