02/06/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Sugar Land (Houston), TX Rudy is a RHP who graduated in 2021. Tall frame stout build with strength present and plenty of room to add. On the mound, this right-handed pitcher has long levers and a projectible frame. He works exclusively from the stretch and showed ability to change planes. He gathers over the rubber, with a good rear hip coil, and works down the mound. A 3 pitch pitcher who challenges hitters with his FB that was up to 77mph, a CB with 12/6 shape, and a changeup with good downward action that he throws with FB arm speed. CH was best pitch during his bullpen. With continued development, Rudy should make strides on the baseball field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
