11/20/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Bronx, NY Ryan showed a spike in radar velocity to 85 MPH and hitting numbers improved during his last workout in the Bronx. He is a lean, athletic SS with good skills. Defensively, Ryan has quick feet, soft hands, and he fields athletically. He moves well to the glove side, makes plays consistency, and he throws with accuracy, strength, and momentum across the diamond. At the plate, Ryan has pop in his bat through quick hands. He stands in open, loads well, and has plus bat speed. Ryan has a short/compact swing and can hit to all fields.

05/01/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Trenton, NJ Ryan continues to show as a prospect with improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 6.87 runner. In the MIF, he shows smooth / fluid actions. Feet are active as he attacks ball and plays through with his body. Hands are clean and present well out front. He moves well laterally, displaying range. Throws are accurate with carry (85 mph velocity) across the diamond. At the plate, he continues to shine through an open setup. Hands are quick (81 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He makes consistent contact through a line drive approach with power showing best to the pull side. Lower half works well through the swing through an aggressive hip turn.

01/14/2022 - 2022 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament (FL) Ryan is a plus type of defender in the 2023 class. The shortstop from Stony Point, NY plays the position at an above average level. His good hands and smooth actions along with his above range giving him the makings of a potential everyday shortstop at the next level. Currently possesses good arm strength across the infield and has good carry to his ball flight. Offensively, he keeps a simple swing and consistently works inside the ball. There is some potential power in there with the solid frame he has. This will start to show more once he learns how to have a more efficient lower half.

11/07/2021 - All-In Membership - Manalapan, NJ Ryan is a SS prospect who will graduate in 2023. Medium frame athletic build with strength present and room to add throughout. In the infield, he shows active feet, with good agility, and showed athletic actions. He takes aggressive angles towards baseball with the ability to make routine plays. He fields from a square fielding position, with ability to pick out hops, and has a clean exchange. He made on-line throws from a 3/4 arm slot, with momentum to target, and an arm velocity up to 80mph across diamond. At the plate, he hits from an athletic and open stance. Good rhythm to swing and a flat barrel path through the zone. Gets good extension out front as he hit line drives into both gaps with a bat exit velocity up to 84mph. With another year of development, Ryan should have a bright future on the baseball diamond.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
