07/01/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Rindge, NH Ryan continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. At SS, defensive abilities are now solid as he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are active as he works around ball and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. At the plate, hitting / power potential has improved through a squared setup. Hands are quick (83 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He makes consistent contact through a line drive approach with power showing best to he pull side. On the mound, he gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a loose arm and extends through on his release, staying inline towards the plate. Arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 76 mph. Fastball shows good arm side run. Breaking ball displays 12/6 shape with gradual break. He maintains are speed on his changeup with arm side run / sink. Control is well above average as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

11/21/2020 - New England Regional Offensive Skills and Pitching/Catching Combined Weekend Ryan is an athletic RHP who graduate in 2022. On the mound, he works to a controlled balance point, has smooth separation and fires from a clean/loose arm action. He gets strong glove-side lead and stays directional toward the dish. FB ranges from 69-73 mph. Breaking ball shows 11/5 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with sinking action. Stock on the mound will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. With 2 years to further develop, Ryan has potential with time and room to progress his game.

07/12/2020 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Manchester, NH Ryan is an athletic R/R SS who graduates in 2022. With the bat, this RHH display an athletic setup with centered balance and smooth rhythm to load. Swing is on-plane to and through the zone as he connects and shows some pop to his pull-side. Working on being consistent with his front (stride) foot landing time while working to swing on a shorter/more direct path will help to improve skills at the plate. Defensively, he has active prep footwork and he works right to left into an athletic fielding position. Hands are soft with a clean transfer to throw. Ardine has tools with upside and still time to progress to get to where he wants to be.

09/01/2019 - College PREP - Hooksett, NH Ryan is lean SS/RHP who will graduate in 2022. At SS, he displays clean / athletic actions. Feet are active but needs to attack balls and play through with his body. Glove actions is soft / sure and presents well out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. At the plate, he shows a closed setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 75-76 mph. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. Changeup shows sinking action but slows arm speed tipping pitch to hitters. Stock on the mound will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. With 2 years to further develop, Ryan has potential with time and room to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
