11/04/2017 - 2017 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's Futures Texas Ryan is an exciting young 2-way prospect (OF/RHP) with impressive tools and some big upside potential. He ran a 6.75 in the 60-yard dash, had raw arm strength of 91 mph and an exit velo of 86. He has long levers and a lean, athletic 6'2"/165-pound frame that will continue to add strength as he matures. On the mound he ran his fastball into the mid 80s from an athletic delivery. He has confidence in both of his off-speed offerings mixing in a hard breaking ball with 11/5 shape and a solid change with good arm speed. At the plate, Ryan has some length to his swing but has a knack for finding the barrel and has good strike zone awareness. He singled and walked twice in game play after spraying line drives to all fields during batting practice. His speed in the outfield translates to good range and he combines that with the arm strength necessary to play any of the three OF spots. Overall, Ryan is a player who can impact the game in a wide variety of ways and is a prospect to continue to follow.
