10/23/2019 - Under Armour SoCal Classic, powered by Baseball Factory's Team One Ryan is a top prospect in the OF with a tremendous future. Foot speed is superior as indicated by his 60 time of 6.62. He has the versatility to play all 3 OF spots effectively. Range is outstanding as he reads balls well off the bat and covers a lot of ground. He takes proper routes / angles in tracking balls down and works behind balls, playing through with momentum to his target. Hands / feet work well together as he gets rid of the baseball quickly with accuracy and on line zip (84 mph velocity) to his target. At the plate, he continues to shine, displaying outstanding hitting / power potential. He stands in with a solid/strong base and has fluid rhythm to load. Barrel delivery is short/quick with aggression (94 mph exit velocity) as he connects with power driving to all parts of the field with gap-to-gap pop. With 2 years to further to develop, Ryan has a tremendous upside and will get looks from the top college coaches with his baseball abilities.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
