01/18/2013 - 2013 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament At the Pre-Season All-America, Ryan topped out at 88 MPH with his fastball. The 3B/RHP senior threw two innings on the mound and showed a late/power curve-ball that had 11/5 shape and was consistently thrown for strikes. His out pitch proved to be his cutter that has late bite and 10/4 action causing many hitters to chase it out of the zone. At third, he has firm hands and active feet and is very athletic fielding his position. He moves well laterally and has the evident arm strength to make the deep plays. Offensively, he stays inside the ball and is a consistent gap-to-gap hitter. Focusing on barrel delivery and tapping into his lower half strength will increase his bat speed and square contact. Ryan projects best on the mound, where he is very competitive and extremely effective with a good frame and excellent arm strength.
