11/01/2019 - College Recruiting Day - Columbia, MD Ryan is a 3B prospect who will graduate in 2025. In the field, Ryan shows active footwork and takes good angles to the ball. He makes the routine plays and flashes a clean exchange, keeping his throws accurate to his target. Getting into a more athletic fielding position can help Ryan improve defensively. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an open stance and gets into his load well. He works to barrel up the baseball and makes solid contact. Ryan can improve as a hitter by working a smoother rhythm into his load. With six more years to develop, Ryan has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
