05/23/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Highland Park (DFW), TX Ryan is a SS/RHP who will graduate in 2022. Medium frame athletic build with strength present and frame to add more strength. At SS, active/efficient feet, with great 1st steps, allow him to create good fielding angles in all directions. Ability to pick out hops, while keeping eyes behind his glove, and fields the ball out front in low/athletic fielding position. Shows ability to throw from multiple arm slots with accurate/on-line throws across the diamond and an arm velocity of 94mph. Showed good touch on his DP feeds and good footwork around the bag on DP pivot. Good verbal communication while on the field. A right-handed pitcher, gathers over the rubber, with a good balance point, and works with good direction down the mound. Good tempo to delivery and ability to throw 3 pitches with 3 different speeds. Works both sides of the plate with his FB that sat 81-84mph with good arm side run. Mixed in a CB with 11/5 shape and had good depth through the zone. FB was his best pitch during his bullpen. Throws a CH with FB arm speed and good run. A right-handed hitter begins with an upright and athletic stance. Simple load, with a good bat angle at contact, and ability to hit balls to all fields. Hit hard line drives consistently with a bat exit velocity of 87mph during his round of BP. As he continues to mature and develop, we foresee Ryan having a bright future on the baseball field.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
