06/09/2013 - College PREP - Medford (Boston), MA Ryan is an average sized, 2-way player who pitches and plays 3B. On the mound, Ryan has a quick arm, on-time separation, and level shoulders. He lands in a square position, mixes his pitches well, and competes in the zone. Ryan will need to avoid throwing across his body, keep his front side closed, and lengthen his arm action for mound effectiveness to improve. At 3B, Ryan has soft hands, he fields athletically, and his footwork is fluid. He fields cleanly and throws with carry and accuracy across the diamond. More glove extension will only help defense get better. At the plate, Ryan has an open set-up, good balance, and he attacks the ball aggressively. He repeats his swing, works the middle of the field, and he can spray to all field. Hitting can improve with a shorter load, better timing, and more lower 1/2.
