01/13/2017 - Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Ryan had a very strong outing with Baseball Factory at the UAPSAA Event. The 6'1/160 lbs hurler threw a strong two-pitch mix of FB / SL with easy rhythm and loose arm action. His FB sat from 84-86, while his SL had late devastating tilt & depth from 69-71. He was controlled throughout the delivery, staying in his legs nicely, and had a good rotation to his finish after controlling the landing. In all - Ryan struck out 3 of the first 5 batters faced and proved to be a true ground ball thrower living low in the zone.

06/14/2016 - 2016 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's National Florida Ryan is an athletic (5'11"/165) RHP who pounds the zone with strikes. He works to a controlled balance point and gets strong glove-side lead. FB shows tailing action ranging from 82-84 mph. Breaking ball has 11/5 shape with good action. CH is thrown with FB arm speed helping to create deception. He keeps it down which will get GB outs. Langford is a reliable righty who will throw strikes and compete.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
