06/23/2023 - Baseball Factory Select Training at the College World Series Ryan is a 2027 OF who worked on his skills during the BF Select Training at The College World Series. In the OF he creates good angles and works behind the baseball. Good 1st step reads enable him to take aggressive routes to balls. He fields from an athletic/square fielding position with a clean exchange off his left foot. Made accurate throws through his cutoff man with an arm velocity up to 64mph. At the plate he hits from an upright and even stance with loose/comfortable hands. He gets knob to C and takes a short/square glide step. In live game action he reached base 4 times with a single, 2 walks, and reached on an error. Ryan shows a high baseball IQ with a desire to be coached hard. We look forward to seeing him at another event in the near future.

03/26/2023 - National Showcase - Manalapan, NJ Ryan is an OF who will graduate in 2027. A young/developing player with some strength present and plenty of room to develop. In the OF, works to keep ball in front with ability to make routine plays. He takes aggressive routes to balls and fields ball out front with a good glove angle. Throws from an over-the-top arm slot, with a loose arm action, and an arm velocity up to 64mph into infield. At the plate, he starts with an athletic and crouched stance. Quiet head and level eyes enable him to track pitches well. A small hand load with good separation and is centered at contact. He hit line drives to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 64mph during BP. As he continues to develop and mature, we see Ryan having a bright future on the baseball field.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
