01/13/2017 - Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Ryan is a 2017 3B with an athletic frame (6'0", 200 lbs). In the field, Ryan gets into a low position and fields with soft hands. He has a clean exchange to throw, allowing his throws to remain accurate and carry through his target. At the plate, Ryan sets up in a square, athletic stance and takes a square stride to the ball. He shows smooth actions getting into his load and comes through the zone with fast bat speed. He takes a direct swing to the ball producing hard contact and gap to gap power. Overall, Ryan is a talented prospect who has the potential to contribute at the next level.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
