07/18/2018 - Under Armour Southwest Championships 16U, powered by Baseball Factory's Team One Ryan is a coachable 3B/RHP prospect who worked hard on his skills during his time at the Under Armour Southwest Championships. In the field, Ryan shows proper footwork and covers ground well. He makes the routine plays and gains momentum well on his throws, keeping them consistent to his target. Ryan can improve defensively by getting into a lower fielding position. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a tall stance and takes a square stride. He gets back into his load well and comes through the zone with explosive bat speed, producing square contact and line drives. Ryan can improve as a hitter by driving his lower half more. On the mound, Ryan repeats well as he gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a clean arm action and finishes square to his target. Ryan shows a two pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 78mph with cutting action. Breaking ball sits from 64-67mph with late 11-5 break. Ryan can improve as a pitcher by finishing with his chest over his front knee. With three more years to develop, Ryan has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.
