01/15/2021 - 2021 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament (FL) Ryder is a strong/athletic (5'11"/175) prospect who pitched and hit at the event. On the mound, he toes the rubber with a purpose looking to pound the zone and attack hitters. He works mainly from the stretch with quick tempo, not letting hitters get a chance to get settled in. FB jumps out of his hand, cracking the mitt 83-86 mph. He commands it well and can hit his spots. Curveball shows 10/4 shape with good action and tight spin. Changeup shows to be his best off-speed pitch as it has hard arm-side run, getting in on the RHH's and showing to be a go-to 'K' pitch. He mixes his pitches and changes speeds well, getting a ton of swings and misses at the event. As a hitter, this lefty stands in well with smooth rhythm to load working his hands back into a strong launch position. He fires the barrel and engages his lower 1/2, creating good torque and resulting in hard contact off of the barrel (87 mph). Ryder has a ton of upside and has the versatility to make an impact in a variety of ways on the diamond.
