06/09/2023 - 2023 Baseball Factory All-State Tournament (MS) Rylan is a 2028 C/RHP prospect who recently showed his skills at the All-State Tournament in Mississippi. Behind the dish, he gives his pitchers a good target and works with soft hands. He has a clean exchange and in-synch release with a clean arm action. He recorded a low pop time of 2.40 seconds and a raw velo of 70 MPH, improving on previous marks. He does a great job of getting his feet in a good position to block the baseball, while centering the ball and tucking his chin to keep it from scooting away. At the plate, he starts in an athletic stance with comfortable hands and gets a small load with a centered stride. His swing is easily repeatable. He exhibits very fluid rhythm and his lower half stays engaged and balanced. His bat speed is fast and his swing path is short and compact. He recorded a max exit velo of 69 MPH, greatly improving on previous marks. He really showcased how good of a teammate and how positive he was at the event. In 7 plate appearances, he recorded one single. On the mound, he throws from multiple arm slots and shows good feel for the position. His FB has some arm-side run and he ran it up to 64 MPH, while his CB exhibited good tilt. His arm action is clean and he does a great job with his direction to the plate, staying in-line to his target with a controlled landing. In game action, he allowed 3 hits and 3 walks in 2 innings of work. Overall, Rylan is an exciting prospect that we will be watching closely as he continues to develop!
