01/18/2019 - 2019 Baseball Factory All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament Sammy is a talented and athletic 2022 2-way prospect. In the OF, Sammy is on time with his prep step and has a quick first step to the ball. He tries to work behind the ball, he has a clean exchange, and makes accurate throws. At the plate, Sammy starts in a narrow stance and makes consistent contact to all fields. On the bump, Sammy has good mound presence and commands his curveball down in the zone. He gathers over the rubber, separates on time, and has a strong front side. He has a clean arm action and works north to south in his delivery. Sammy is very coachable and we hope to see his progress in the future.

The Class Rating is designed to help players identify the level(s) of college baseball at which they have potential to be recruited, and to help schools and coaches identify players that have potential to be recruits for them.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "present" abilities (tools), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year, using the scale below. However, grades 10-18 are not available for use with High School players (ages 14-18), while grades 55-70 are not available for use with Pre High School players (ages 12-14). These instances are marked as "--- N/A ---" in the "Description" fields below.
