At the plate it’s a powerful RH swing with bat speed and uses his lower half very well to get the ball in the air consistently and with authority. The swing path drives the ball for doubles to the opposite field and his upper 90’s exit velocity plays to HR power to the pull side. Add in the athleticism to run a 6.59 60-yard dash on the top end and regularly clocks in the 6.65-6.7 range. Meyer will be an offensive threat no matter what position he plays in college. Defensively, he currently plays SS where has a quick first step, lateral range with the ability to come downhill on the baseball. An above average raw arm strength in the low 90’s mph with accuracy and an understanding of footwork patterns and arm slots to throw off a 2-step, 4-step and on the run pattern which gives him the potential to stick at SS. Should he add more size and strength to his frame and need to move the athleticism, footwork, arm strength all show the ability to stick on the dirt or play an OF corner with potential of CF if he maintains his speed as he matures. Overall, Meyer presents a wide variety of tools with the ability to create impact at the next level on the offensive side and the projection to possibly stick at a premium defensive position.
