05/21/2023 - National Showcase - Little Elm, TX Sathvik is a 2024 RHP prospect with a good frame at 6'0 160 pounds. On the mound, he throws from a high 3/4 arm slot and has a clean arm action. He keeps his eyes on his target throughout his delivery and gets good, on-time separation. He stays squared to the plate with his stride and has a controlled landing with his front leg. His arms are long and he works hard to get torque on his finish. His FB has slight cut and and his CB has a 10-4 break. He keeps a natural stroke with his CH and it features a nice difference in speed from his FB. At the plate, he has a tall setup and gets a good back load. He keeps his balance centered and features nice, quiet actions. His hands stay soft on the bat and he works hard to get good separation. He works hard to get good extension when he finishes. We are excited to see more of Sathvik as he continues to develop his baseball abilities!

11/12/2020 - Baseball Factory Fall Select Tournament at Pirate City Sathvik continues to show as a prospect on the diamond with his improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. At 3B, defensive abilities have improved as he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is soft / sure and presents well out front. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. Throws are accurate with carry across the diamond. At the plate, hitting / power potential have improved through a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He makes consistent hard contact through a line drive approach with power showing best to the pull side. At the event, he was 1 for 5 with a 2B and a 3B. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 76 mph. Fastball shows good cutting action. Breaking ball displays tight spin with 11/5 shape and gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with sinking action. Getting on a long toss program to develop more arm strength will aid in improving abilities on the mound. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, and is very coachable.

07/21/2019 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 12-14) Sathvik is an athletic and talented 2024 2-way prospect that worked hard all week. At the hot corner, Sathvik starts in a relaxed position and makes the routine play. He needs to continue present a low/early glove, field the ball in front of his body, and plays through the ball. Improve his first step will improve his range as well. At the plate, Sathvik starts in an open stance, he loads his hands back, and gets balanced at contact. He stays flat to the ball and looks to hit the ball to all fields. He need to continue to create backside drive with his lower half, keep the barrel inside the ball, and stay back at contact. On the bump, Sathvik has good presence and attacks hitters in with his fastball. He gathers over the rubber, separates on time, and finds his balance point. He has good spin on his breaking ball and has some feel for the changeup. Sathvik is a hard worker and we hope to see his progress in the future.

02/17/2019 - Interactive Video Program - Highland Park (DFW), TX Sathvik is a young, tall, 2-way player who pitches and plays 1B. On the mound, Sathvik has a balanced delivery, he separates on time, and gets good extension on his pitches. He repeats his delivery well, land with good direction, and competes in the zone. At 3B, Sathvik has active/efficient footwork, a presentable glove, and good pre-pitch actions. He funnels well, his exchange is clean, and he throws with momentum across the diamond. Offensively, Sathvik has an open stance, a short stride, and he loads well. He is quiet in the box, makes some contact, and uses some lower body. Overall skills can improve with work on the following.

2. Landing

Infield
1. Loosen actions

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
