01/12/2024 - 2024 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament Sawyer is a 2025 3B who showcased his talents at the BF Pre-Season All-America Tournament. At 3B, he starts from an athletic position and has quick feet. He has soft hands and does a good job picking out hops. He throws from a high ¾ arm slot and has accurate throws across the infield. Sawyer showed good range and instincts to both sides of his body. At the plate, he has an open stance, has loose hands, and an activated load. Sawyer did a great job of working to the middle of the field which translated into the game. He had a pair of singles as well as 2 walks. Sawyer did a great job of bringing energy throughout the tournament and plays the game fast. Sawyer has a lot of potential as he continues to grow and we expect to see great things in the future from him.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
