Baseball Factory Academic All-American Tournament
Schuyler is a 2B/RHP in the class of 2021. He improved in several aspects of his game; lowering his 60 and shuttle times, while increasing his arm & exit velo and broad jump. At the plate, he shows an open setup with loose/comfortable hands. Hands are quick as he swings against a firm front side and engages his lower 1/2. Swing is compact which allows him to produce consistent contact up the middle of the field.
01/17/2020 - 2020 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament
Schuyler shined at the Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament. At 2B, feet are aggressive as he works around balls and plays through with his body. Hands are soft / clean and he presents well out front. Range is a plus as he moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground in the MIF. Throws are accurate with on line carry (80 mph velocity) across the diamond. At the plate, hands are quick (and work through a level swing path, creating extension. He works to stay inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a solid line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently.
08/11/2019 - National Tryout Plus - Wilmington, DE
Schuyler ran his best 60 to date (7.56 seconds), and raised arm velocity to 81 MPH during his last workout in Wilmington. At 2nd base, Schuyler presents his glove well, he has efficient footwork, and he covers ground. He fields squarely, his exchange is clean, and he throws with consistency and direction to his target. At the plate, Schuyler has a square stance, he loads well, and swings level. He has good hands, flashes some bat speed, and he shows the ability to spray to all fields.
02/23/2019 - Mid Atlantic Regional Hitting Weekend (Ages 14-18)
Schuyler is an athletic and talented 2021 prospect that was eager to learn and made several adjustments throughout the weekend. At the plate, Schulyer starts in an open stance and loads his hands back into the drive position. He has a middle approach, backs the ball up over the plate, and keeps a quiet head. He needs to continue to create backside drive with his lower half and keeping his head down at contact will help him to stay balanced throughout the swing. Schulyler will continue to improve with repetition and we hope to see his progress in the future.
08/02/2018 - Baseball Factory Pro Select Training & Tournament at Historic Dodgertown (Ages 14-18)
Schuyler continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. At the plate is where he has improved the most through an open setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. At 2B, he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls up. Glove action is clean but needs to present more out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. On the mound, fastball shows a range of 70-73 mph. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with sinking action. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to develop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, and is very coachable.

Schuyler is a lean RHP/2B who will graduate in 2021. At 2B, he displays smooth / clean actions. Feet are active but needs to attack balls more and play through with his body. Glove action is clean but needs to present more out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. At the plate, he shows an open setup. Hands are loose and work through an aggressive swing path. He makes consistent contact through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. On the mound, delivery is sound / repeatable allowing his arm action to work free to the plate. Fastball showed a range of 71-74 mph. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with sinking action. Stock on the mound will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. With 3 years to further develop, Schuyler has abilities with time and room to progress his game.
