08/03/2015 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 Scott is a big, thick RHP/3B that will graduate in 2016. At the plate is where he shows best through an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path, creating extension. He makes consistent contact, as he works to keep hands inside the ball to utilize all fields. At 3B, he works to square balls up, displaying clean hands. For defensive grade to improve he needs to present hands more out front and increase foot quickness. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 77-78 mph with tailing action. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with big gradual break. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to grow as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Mental makeup is a plus as he plays hard and is very coachable with a great attitude. Scott has abilities with a lot of room to improve.
