04/14/2019 - College PREP - Bellevue (Seattle), WA Seamus is a 6'0 SS from Seattle that shows the ability to be an everyday player. In the field he shows great lateral range with instinctive first steps. He presents soft hands and clean exchanges allowing him to throw from multiple arm slots. Being more aggressive to the ball should allow him to create even more high-level plays at SS. At the plate Seamus shows a line drive approach and the ability to hit the ball to all fields. He has smooth rhythm that produces plus bat speed. These tools put together allows him to create a high percentage of clean barrel contact. Seamus shows potential as a junior shortstop that will play consistent defense and a top of the lineup bat that will get on base at a high percentage.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "present" abilities (tools), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year, using the scale below. However, grades 10-18 are not available for use with High School players (ages 14-18), while grades 55-70 are not available for use with Pre High School players (ages 12-14). These instances are marked as "--- N/A ---" in the "Description" fields below.
