12/27/2023 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2 Sean continues to shine with his baseball abilities at the Pirate City Christmas tournament. In the OF, Feet are aggressive as he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. Glove action is firm but needs to present earlier and more out front. He utilizes his foot quickness in covering a lot of ground. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. He shows a high baseball IQ. At the plate, he shows an aggressive approach. Hands are quick and work on plane to the ball. He makes consistent contact through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a great personality, is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

11/05/2023 - National Showcase - Gambrills, MD Sean is an OF who will graduate in 2025. Tall frame strong build with room to add throughout. In the OF, shows fluid feet and ability to cover ground in all directions. Fields ball out front from an athletic fielding position. Good reads off the bat enable him to flip his hips and works through the baseball with a high 1-hand catch. Made accurate throws into infield from a high 3/4 arm slot with an arm velocity up to 76mph. A right-handed hitter, he hits from an upright and square stance. Shows good rhythm and balance to swing and gets knob to C. A short barrel path enables him to hit line drives to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 73mph. With 2 years of continued development, we foresee Sean having a bright future on the baseball field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
