01/16/2015 - Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Sean is a talented two-way player that works well on both sides of the ball. At short, he makes plays with a sure glove, efficient feet, and body control. He came to get his hops and had sound backhand mechanics. Offensively, he showed fluidity to get to his launch position and whipped the barrel through the zone to flash pop. He was strong to hit and used the whole field with a spray approach. On the mound, he induced 7 ground balls and struck out 1 in his 3 innings of showcase work. He was not afraid to throw inside and changed speeds very effectively from the high 3/4 slot. His fastball was thrown with run from 79-81, CB with 10/4 shape at 69-70, and his CH with sink from 69-72. In all - Sean is a very projectable guy that projects in the middle with his glove and towards the top with his stick.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
