11/09/2007 - Dodgertown Select Training (Commuter) LaFaye improved his 60-yard dash from 6.97 to 6.73. Made strong, consistent contact at the plate - did a good job of working his hands and the barrel inside the ball. Hit the ball well to the opposite field. His offensive approach is well suited to his speed, gives him a chance to use it to his advantage. Also showed well on the mound. Fastball has potential sink, and he showed a solid breaking ball. Delivery is a little unorthodox, but it appeared to work for him. Has a little work to do with direction to help him get more consistent, but has a chance to develop into a bullpen guy if he adds some strength and velocity. Foot speed and potential to make it usable offensive gives him a chance to separate himself from a lot of other outfielders.
