12/11/2020 - Baseball Factory Academic All-American Tournament Sean is an athletic C/SS prospect who showed well during the Academic All-American Tournament. Behind the plate, Sean sits in a low stance and receives with a quiet glove. He has a clean exchange and gains ground well on his throws, keeping them accurate and strong through the 2B bag. He creates a good spine angle when blocking and keeps dirt balls in front of him. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a tall stance and takes a soft stride. He gets into his load on time and stays compact through the ball, producing strong contact and flashing solid raw power. Overall, Sean is a talented prospect who has the potential to contribute at the next level.

08/14/2020 - All-In Membership - Parker (Denver), CO Sean is an athletic R/R 2-way player as a C/SS. Behind the dish, he sits in well with athletic actions/flexion and tracks pitches into a soft mitt. He is quick laterally and centers pitches in the dirt off of his chest keeping it in front. Transfer to throw is quick/clean putting throws on the bag - pop times at 1.91. Runners won't want to test his arm. At SS, he shows active prep footwork moving lightly on the balls of his feet right to left. Hands are soft as he funnels smoothly and gains ground toward 1B. He shows plus lateral range and makes the tough plays to his backhand and glove-side. With the bat, he shows a square setup with centered balance and fluid rhythm to load. Swing is quick to and through the zone as he connects with pop and sprays it to all parts of the field (exit velocity = 92 mph). Marlow is a talented 2-way prospect who has a bright future ahead of him.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
