08/03/2017 - Baseball Factory Pro Select Training at Historic Dodgertown (Ages 12-14) Sean is a coachable C/OF prospect who hustled on and off the field during his time at the Baseball Factory Pro Select Training at Historic Dodgertown. Behind the plate, Sean sits in a low, square stance and tracks pitches into his glove. He throws from a high 3/4 angle and keeps his throws to 2B accurate and on-line to the bag. Sean can improve defensively by working to receive the ball with softer hands. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a tall stance and takes a square stride. He gets into his load well and takes a direct swing to the ball, leading to solid contact to his pull side. Sean can improve as a hitter by driving his lower half through the zone. With five more years to develop, Sean has the time and potential to further progress his game.

05/14/2017 - Interactive Video Program - Tampa, FL Sean is an OF who will graduate in 2022. Defensively in the OF, he works around and gets into a square fielding position. Hands are soft as he comes up with a clean exchange and makes accurate throws to his target. With the bat, this righty shows a balanced/square setup. He tracks, explodes his lower 1/2 and drives pitches with pop to his pull side. Overall abilities in his game will improve with work on the following.

Defense
1. Lateral range
2. Play through the ball
3. Arm strength (long toss)
Offense
1. Develop a load
2. Improve bat speed
3. Extend through contact

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
